Get Ready for a Long One

I haven't posted in quite a few weeks now; that's partly due to increasing amounts of homework and just downright laziness. However, I intend to remedy my laziness now, with what may be one of the longest posts I've ever written.

First of all, the new season of Heroes continues to be awesome. At first, I thought that it was moving along a little too fast for me, but the crazy amounts of new characters, powers, plotlines, and awesome character developments have won me over. I definitely like the focus on moral ambiguity this season: we're seeing Claire, Peter, and even Hiro do increasingly villainous things for reasons they think is correct, while Sylar, who now has competition for Heroes' premier supervillain, has shown a slightly heroic side. I can't wait for the rest of the season!

Secondly, I've been slacking off a little in AP Euro, and intend to remedy that. After once again having to do the majority of my essay the night before it was due, I'm going to try harder in the future. That could be bad news for Bizarro World.

Speaking of AP Euro, two things have happened during my research: Cardinal Richelieu, one of the most powerful people in France during the Thirty Years' War, has taken Niccolo Machiavelli's place as my favorite person. Ever. I mean it; this guy was the man! Also, I realized that you know you've made it big if an adjective is created using your name, no matter how matter how unnatural it sounds. For example: Machiavellian, Dickensian, Socratic, Platonic (notice how Aristotle is excluded from this group. My guess is that's because he was wrong about EVERYTHING! I mean, the Scientific Revolution was basically just people proving him wrong).

Since everyone else has had some sort of spinoff blog at one point or another (MKB once had a music review blog, and Boots has his webcomics and the late list-o-five), I'm thinking of possibly making another blog. It'll probably be a comics blog or a blog where I do my own stories. If it is a comics blog, I will try my best to make it accessible while at the same time making it nerdy enough. Look out for those in the future...
