It's Been A While...

...since I've posted, I know. It's just that I was in Camp Mack for a week, and then went with my family on vacation in Michigan this past week, shortly after returning from Mack. Although both trips were tons of fun (in Mack, I got a chance to go tubing, and in Michigan, I swam in the Great Lake while being battered with seven-foot tall waves), they have prevented me from blogging all that much. As if that weren't enough, I'm leaving Thursday morning for GenCon Indianapolis, which is where I'll be until next Sunday.
However, I did take the opportunity during Michigan to read a lot of Brave New World; I now only have 60 pages left, although I still have to do that crazy essay and letter. It's an interesting, thought-provoking book, although a little weird.
Some interesting nerd news:
Guillermo del Toro, director of the Hellboy movies and Pan's Labryinth, is taking the directorial reigns of the Lord of the Rings film franchise, and will be directing two movies set in the Tolkienverse: a movie adaptation of The Hobbit, set for release in 2011, and an unnamed movie that will center on events that occur in between The Hobbit and LOTR. Sounds awesome!

Great Lakes tend not to have 7 foot tall waves (but they were like that when I was at the beach today too)
